Parent guide and first steps

Meet first, then decide

Reading a programme is the beginning of choosing a school. Seeing daily arrangements and discussing your child’s needs makes the decision more concrete. Ormanköy’s parent guide encourages families to bring questions and treat the visit as a two-way conversation.

Prepare for the visit

Note favourite games, rest routines, responses to new environments and things that help your child feel comfortable. These details introduce the child beyond their age. Talk about things you can see during the visit and make room for questions.

Topics to discuss

  • How are age groups and classrooms arranged?
  • How is settling in planned with the family?
  • How do outdoor experiences, play, meals and rest fit into the day?
  • What information is needed about individual needs?
  • How are families updated?
  • How do collection and safety arrangements work?
  • What are the current availability, fees and documents?

These topics reflect the school’s guide. Add questions relevant to your family.

A shared language

Children experience a new beginning differently. Learning goodbye and collection arrangements in advance helps explain the day clearly. Share observations from home, listen to your own child’s experience and discuss difficulties with the team.

Initial registration

The official preliminary registration form sends an enquiry to the school team. It does not confirm enrolment. The team discusses age groups, availability and conditions with the family. Use the school’s own channels for current information and visits.
